A Special Collection: My Father‘s Art（Peiguo Fang’s Light and Shadow Action Painting）


    
    The works presented here belong to my father. His artistic practice is grounded in the concept of Light and Shadow Action Painting, also referred to as Digital Expressionism, a framework jointly researched and developed by my father and me. While the conceptual and stylistic foundations of his practice were formed through our long-term shared research, the works themselves are independently realized through his own artistic practice.

    The first nineteen works presented here date approximately from 2012 to 2017 and were first independently published on Amazon in 2018. The works that follow these nineteen are also by my father, representing his subsequent artistic development and more recent practice. Together, these works trace the continuity and evolution of his independent artistic practice within the broader framework of Light and Shadow Action Painting / Digital Expressionism.

2026—— Selected Winner - American Illustration 45, AI-AP （USA）.
 Light and Shadow Action Painting 《Pregnant Woman》 was among 432 images selected as a winner from 6387 international entries for the American Illustration AI45 juried competition.


2026—— WINNER - Creative Quarterly #85,  Fine Art Category（USA）.
Light and Shadow Action Painting 《Digital Expressionism:Seated Woman》 was selected as a winner in the Professional Fine Art category of Creative Quarterly 85, an international juried competition that has promoted outstanding work in fine art, illustration, and other disciplines for more than 20 years.
